Hackler Course

The Hackler Course, located at 107 Citadel Dr, Conway, SC 29526, is a beautifully designed and well-maintained public golf course in South Carolina. Originally named Quail Creek Golf Club, this 18-hole, par 72 golf course was renamed in honor of the late General James F. Hackler Jr., who was a former commander of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base and a strong advocate for the local Conway community.

The course, measuring over 6,300 yards from the back tees, was designed by the renowned golf course architect Gene Hamm and opened for play in 1968. The layout features tree-lined fairways, strategically placed bunkers, and water hazards that come into play on several holes. The course offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels.

The Hackler Course is home to the Coastal Carolina University’s Professional Golf Management (PGM) program, which provides students with the education and training necessary for careers in the golf industry. As a result, the course is always in pristine condition, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The PGM program also maintains a state-of-the-art practice facility that includes a driving range, putting green, and chipping area.

In addition to the golf course, the Hackler Course also features a fully stocked pro shop, offering a variety of golf apparel, equipment, and accessories. The on-site restaurant, Hackler Grill, provides a casual dining experience with a selection of sandwiches, salads, and beverages, making it an ideal spot for golfers to relax and refuel after a round of golf.

The Hackler Course is open year-round, with tee times available to the public on a daily basis. The course offers affordable rates, discounts for local residents, and various membership options for those who wish to play regularly. With its picturesque setting, challenging layout, and outstanding amenities, the Hackler Course is a must-play destination for golfers visiting the Conway and Myrtle Beach area.
