I had the pleasure of playing at the Barefoot Dye Golf Course last summer and boy, it was a challenge! The unforgiving bunkers and water hazards got me a few times, but it made every good shot feel that much more rewarding. The facilities are top-notch as expected, loved the pro shop. Can’t wait to return and improve my score!
Has anyone else found the 15th hole to be a real nemesis? On my last two trips I’ve lost balls there, overestimated the distance to the water hazard, I guess. Any tips? Otherwise, superb course and probably among the best Pete Dye designs I’ve played. The terrain could double as a nature reserve. And of course, the hospitality and grub in the lounge after a long round is always a plus. Keep it up, Barefoot Dye!
